Hello,I am looking for an English conversation tutor. His level is intermediate and is just looking to converse with someone whose first language is English. Preferably you should be an English, Journalism, Languages or Education major. We're looking for someone reliable, personable and respectful. He's looking to have a lesson twice a week at his home or somewhere convenient for both of you. He lives in Dollard-des-Ormeaux with his family and would prefer someone living close by but if that's not possible he is happy to meet somewhere closer to you. If interested, send a short message with your CV to Paula.

Part time mother's helper

I am a mother of three children, ages 1 month, 3 years and 5 years.  I am looking for a mother’s helper to help me with general housework (basic cooking, cleaning, errands) and taking care of my children when everyone comes home at the end of the day (my 3 year old goes to daycare, my 5 year old just started kindergarten).  I would generally need help from about 4:30 – 6:30 pm, 3 evenings a week (the specific days we can decide together to accommodate your class schedule).  Duties may include:

  • Picking up the 3 year old from daycare
  • Picking up the 5 year old from kindergarten
  • Taking care of the newborn (going for walks, diaper changes, putting down for nap, etc)
  • Basic meal preparation
  • Basic cleaning (doing dishes, laundry) – deeper cleaning is done by a cleaning lady once a week 
  • Running simple errands
  • Getting the kids ready for bed

Landscape supervisor

Working supervisor with 1 or 2 employees.  Maintenance of planting beds:  weeding, edging, dead-heading, cultivating, digging, pruning of shrubs and hedges.  Installation of designs and renovations.  No lawn mowing.  Work is strenuous at times and requires a fast pace.  Work available into November.  Must be hard working and be able to maintain a fast pace.  Availability on some weekends needed. Hours will vary at different times of the season.  Work available next Spring and Summer as well.

We are Safeway parking  and manage the parking and valet service at the Marriott Chateau Champlain Hotel downtown. We are looking for people with a valid Canadian drivers license in good standing who can drive an automatic and or manual vehicle.  The job is to receive hotel guests who take the valet service and then drive/park their cars in the underground garage.
