Supercamp is a day camp located in Ville St.Laurent, on the Vanier College campus. We welcome about 350 campers and leaders each week, allowing them the opportunity to try new things, discover new passions and develop new skills. Come and join our staff of 70 counsellors and specialists!Main duties as a camp counsellorAnimate groups of children and ensure their safety. Create and organize different activities and follow the program set forth by the administration of the camp. Collaborate in the preparation of themes and camp assemblies. Occasional animation of extended supervision hours. Conditions :

  • Length of employment: 8 weeks, from June 22nd to August 14th, 2020. Be available for training in May and June (approx. 50 hours).
  • Salary : $13.00/h
  • Hours : 40 hrs/ week

Daycamp Summer Lifeguard

Come and join our staff of 80 animators, instructors and counsellors!Main duties as Lifeguard

  • Watch the children at the swimming pool to insure security and prevent accidents.
  • Assure the children respect the rules in place at the pool, assure the discipline and make sure everything is in order.
  • Help the children in difficulty and dispense first aid. Animate aquatic games sessions.
  • Give swimming lessons.
  • Tidy the equipment after use.
  • Cleaning the showers, locker rooms and bathrooms.

 Conditions :

  • Length of employment: 8 weeks, from June 22nd to August 14th, 2020.
  • Be available for training in May and June (approx. 50 hrs)
  • Salary : $15.00/hr.
  • Hours : 25-30 hrs/ weeks.

Daycamp Health & Safety Coordinator

Resource person for all campers' health and safety matters. Also assists in animation and supervision tasks at camp.A day as the H&S Coordinator:- 55% Health & Safety-related tasks,- 25% animation-related tasks,- 15% staff supervision and management,- 5% behavioral & intervention tasks and others.Main Tasks:- Administer first aid,- Call and communicate with parent, if necessary, in regards to health & safety matters,- Be responsible of all first aid kits and first aid inventory,- Supervise counsellors,- Create and organize a reward system for camp personnel,- Create and organize socializing and bonding staff activities to enhance personnel cohesion,- Help to elaborate and organize camp celebrations and themed events,- Prepare and animate weekly informational meetings for the animation personnel on health and safety matters.Conditions:- Start of contract : February 10th 2020,- 100 hours on a flexible schedule from February to June 2020,- Approximately 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, for 8 weeks (June 22nd to August 14 2020 inclusively),- Salary: Variable according to experienceJob Type: Contract

Also, participates in Health & Safety tasks as well as in camp supervision.A day as the Animation Coordinator:- 70% animation-related tasks,- 15% intervention/behavioral-and health & safety tasks,- 15% staff supervision.Main Tasks:- Organize Friday Celebrations,- Create, organize and supervise Monday and Friday shows each week,- Create, organize and supervise all weekly themes and themed activities,- Communicate all information on the themes and animations to the counsellors,- Establish, organize and animate a reward system linked to the themes for the campers in order to promote participation, respect and cooperation,- Help create and organize a reward system and socializing/bonding activities to enhance staff cohesion,- Prepare and animate weekly informational meetings with counsellors on animation matters.Conditions:- Start of employment: February 10th 2020- 100 hours on a flexible schedule from February to June 2020- 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday, for 8 weeks (June 22nd to August 14th 2020)- Salary: 15$/hr minimum, depending on experience.Job Type: Contract

  • Give swimming lessons.

Operations Assistant

Operations Assistant The Operations Assistant will work closely with the Summer Accommodation Manager to ensure the smooth running of daily hotel operations. This is an active, hands-on role for a reliable team player, which combines organizational and management abilities with physically demanding work. It is at times a high pressure environment, with deadlines to meet and will sometimes require the need to work additional hours over and above those scheduled. Although this is a seasonal job it offers scope to expand the stated responsibilities and gain excellent wide-ranging experience in the hospitality industry.General requirements of the role:
