Part time mother's helper

I am a mother of three children, ages 1 month, 3 years and 5 years.  I am looking for a mother’s helper to help me with general housework (basic cooking, cleaning, errands) and taking care of my children when everyone comes home at the end of the day (my 3 year old goes to daycare, my 5 year old just started kindergarten).  I would generally need help from about 4:30 – 6:30 pm, 3 evenings a week (the specific days we can decide together to accommodate your class schedule).  Duties may include:

  • Picking up the 3 year old from daycare
  • Picking up the 5 year old from kindergarten
  • Taking care of the newborn (going for walks, diaper changes, putting down for nap, etc)
  • Basic meal preparation
  • Basic cleaning (doing dishes, laundry) – deeper cleaning is done by a cleaning lady once a week 
  • Running simple errands
  • Getting the kids ready for bed

The HOJO Assistant helps students in finding available housing and provides job referral information. They also provide legal information regarding housing and job issues to students. Essential Requirement(s)

Responsibilities:

The CSU Off-Campus Housing and Job Resource Centre (HOJO) assists the Concordia community with legal and general information and support in regards to housing and employment opportunities and issues. The Hojo Assistants provide information and support in regards to finding housing and employment and/or dealing with problems in either area. This person will speak with landlords, employers and students in person, over the phone and via email to give them information on rental and employment regulations, and will promote our service. The Hojo Assistant will assist student in searching for available housing and provide job referral information. They will also promote the service by speaking with the public during tabling, workshops and conference events. They will review online postings, register new users online, collect statistics on service usage, in addition to filing, updating files, answering email and phone calls and such tasks that are required for the running of the service.
