• Assist in maintaining agenda for the Research Centre;
  • Provide clerical support to researchers, staff, support personnel, and students;
  • General organizing, archiving and office maintenance;


  • Updated and maintain database of all equipment, including computers and peripherals;
  • Manage borrowing of equipment as per procedures;

General facilities;

  • Prepare and send requisitions for maintenance repairs/other work;
  • Prepare and send requisitions to housekeeping;

Supplies and services

  • Ensure that all office and kitchen supply inventory levels are maintained adequately;
  • Prepare and send purchase order requisitions for supplies and services using the Hospital’s purchasing software application (Logibec);


  • Manage reception (phone calls, emails, mail, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager; 
  • Provide receptionist services for the Research Centre;
  • Organize meetings, including phone conference and Skype;
  • Obtain articles from library, online journals, PubMed, and other sources
  • Assist in organizing bi-weekly seminars in collaboration with designated seminar lead;
  • Update and maintain paper and electronic filing systems;
  • Maintain research account files;
  • Reserve meeting rooms;
  • Assist with the planning of social events;
  • Provide development support to other secretaries, where needed, and as appropriate;
  • Participate in regular team meetings of administrative staff;

Research Assistants


PRIMARY DUTIESThe Research Assistant will work directly with Dr Sylvie Lambert on a range of projects in the broad areas of psychometrics, intervention research, and caregiver research. Specific duties include (but not restricted to):

  • Recruit participants for studies
  • Undertake literature searches
  • Contribute to the development of research or intervention materials
  • Assist with the implementation of the research project in accordance with information privacy and confidentiality guidelines and data quality standards
  • Liaise with investigators and project staff
  • Assist in the preparation of papers
  • Pilot-test research materials
  • Undertake any other duties relevant and appropriate to this level
