The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in instructing Chemistry to secondary and CEGEP students in Montreal preparing for their AP exams. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to instruct effectively, and a proactive approach. Familiarity with the CEGEP system and content is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities - Develop and deliver lessons on Chemistry topics based on resources provided. - Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of each student. - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and collaboration of 4-8 students per group. - Provide support and feedback to students regarding their progress. - Correct all assignments and review assigned homework questions. - Attend bi-weekly prep meetings with our organization to discuss your student's progress. - Assist with all other duties related to tutoring. The role: Rod Roy Snow School is hiring ski instructors for the 2027 winter season. Teaching positions are available on Saturdays and/or Sundays for a six-week season running from early January to late February. Additional teaching opportunities may also be available throughout the winter. Who we are: Rod Roy Snow School is a Montreal-based ski and snowboard school that provides bus transportation for its members. We like variety! Our programs visit ski areas throughout the Laurentians and the Eastern Townships. Rod Roy Snow School has been a member of the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance Hall of Fame since 2006. Requirements: • Minimum intermediate-advanced skiing ability • No previous teaching experience required • CSIA certification is an asset, but is not mandatory • Lessons are taught in English and/or French Candidates without previous ski-teaching experience must attend three mandatory on-snow training days over weekends in early December. Reporting to the Advocacy Centre Manager, the Administrative Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the center. Responsibilities: To manage client intake and triage. To manage in-person and telephone inquiries. To manage office scheduling and manage appointments. To answer phone calls and take messages. To file, edit, draft, scan and send paperwork/documents. To send, receive, edit and triage emails. To store evidence for hearings and meetings. To submit requisitions for payment/reimbursement of office expenses. Description and Scope The housing and job assistants help the Concordia community with housing and employment by providing legal information and education, resources, support, and services. Assistants engage and educate the Concordia community by conducting tenant and employee rights campaigns. They may also provide additional assistance through accompaniment and referrals. Housing and job assistants maintain the standards and integrity of confidentiality and internal procedures. Responsibilities: Respond to service users’ inquiries via phone, email, video conference, and in person. Educate service users on the regulations of the Administrative Housing Tribunal (TAL), the Labour Standards Board (CNESST), and other relevant codes and processes. Educate service users on preventative measures they can take to improve their living and working experiences. Supply service users with information on recourses, assist in preparing documents (including but not limited to, letters to landlords, employers, roommates, or tenants), in opening files/inquiries with the TAL, CNESST, and/or city inspectors, and in accompanying service users to hearings, tribunals, and referrals. Maintain, process, and document service users’ information, student complaints, classified ads, landlords, employers, and other partners’ information, and more. Moderate user accounts and content on HOJO’s classified web platform. Create, edit, and proofread housing and employment information, including, but not limited to, printed materials, workshops, online materials, content for social media and websites, and campaigns. Maintain a working knowledge of tenancy and employment issues, legislation, regulations, and procedures through ongoing training and research. Maintain information resources from external bodies, such as brochures, procedural forms, guides, etc. Collect feedback and track services provided to users: to generate knowledge and information about our community’s needs and challenges; to track shifts in employment and housing trends; to continually improve the department’s services. Assist the HOJO Manager in creating the mid-mandate and the year-end reports to provide accountability to the Concordia community. Perform other tasks related to the day-to-day function of HOJO as needed.
